Pool complex (indoor and outdoor) in 4-star Hotel Karnerhof on the Faaker See in Carinthia

Splishing, splashing, diving and swimming: the crystal clear waters of the Faaker See are a swimmer’s dream. The Karnerhof’s extensive indoor and outdoor pool and water complex offers a range of attractive swimming alternatives to the scenic lake.

Outdoor pools: swimming with a panoramic view

The location: idyllic, on a gentle hill between the hotel and the lake. Nestled in green meadows, with a beautiful view over the lido, Lake Faak and the Karawanken. The 20-metre-long infinity pool with indoor access lures guests of the Karnerhof outdoors with a water temperature of a pleasant 28° C. Relax on the bathing loungers and elegant rocking loungers at the edge of the pool. In the infinity whirlpool with 33° C you can enjoy the lively bubbling under the open sky.

Indoor pools: sheltered but still close to nature

Indoor swimming and bathing at the Karnerhof: bright, friendly and flooded with daylight. Massive panorama windows open up a vista of green. A small brook gently splashes its way through the lush plant life. The large whirlpool spoils guests of all ages with its steaming waters that are heated to 32°C. Practice your laps in the lanes of the 28°C indoor pool. In the summertime, this is also where children enjoy swimming lessons.

For me, taking care of the Karnerhof Beach is by far the best job in the hotel. I wouldn’t want to switch with anyone! Even when things are busy, you just take one look out at the lake, and (almost) all cares disappear. I’m a big fan of swimming in the lake myself, but in the mornings, a lot of our guests prefer to use the pool and whirlpool.
