Tennis on clay under the open skies. Tennis with a panorama view. Serve, backhand, high return and quick, nimble footwork: for over 40 years, beginners and experts alike have pursued the bright yellow ball across Karnerhof’s own tennis courts.
You sprint forward from the baseline, slide towards the ball and answer your opponent’s attack with a new counterattack: at the Karnerhof, our guests can really feel the pressure. Tennis fans will be happy to find four superbly maintained clay tennis courts, two of them with panorama views of the Mittagskogel peak and the Karawank mountain range, and two of them directly accessible from the beach. Pure refreshment after a strenuous match: a plunge into the Faaker See or one of the pools, followed by the reward of a cool drink on the terrace. The use of all tennis courts is free of charge for Karnerhof guests.
I live with a view over two of the Karnerhof tennis courts. It’s always fun to see two dedicated players competing hotly, while at the same time, a family on the next court might be just playfully relaxing together.
Tennis training for beginners and experienced players, for children and adults: a professional tennis instructor is available should you need to brush up on your backhand, or perhaps take a tennis racket in hand for the first time. Depending on the player’s level, a training session may include coaching in game tactics, as well as the classic training exercises.
